NAAM is the science of self-healing, consciousness and authenticity. NAAM makes the positive evolution of all aspects of life a reality. Balancing the Executive Life is dedicated bringing these powerful teachings out of the yoga studio and integrating them into everyday life. Our mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive professional and personal change in the world.

Kelley Black - Founder

Kelley Black left her successful career as an advertising and marketing executive at 36 to pursue her own self-healing and a life of service. Kelley immersed herself in the teachings of NAAM Yoga Therapy/Universal Kabbalah under the direct mentorship of world reknowned yogi and Master Kabbalist, Joseph Michael Levry (Gurunam). Under Gurunam’s guidance, Kelley developed a deep, profound understanding of the practical application of NAAM to enhancing all aspects of life. With the blessing of Gurunam, she founded Balancing the Executive Life™ in 2007, in order to take NAAM "off the mat" to professionals, helping them to reduce stress, consciously communicate and enhance their overall well-being in/out of the workplace. The methodology is sophisticated, practical and results oriented. Kelley works with a wide range of clients and is passionate about bringing the teachings to people from all walks of life.

Kelley is a keynote speaker, author, trainer and certified yoga instructor. She supports individuals and organizations nationwide in their quest for health, happiness and productivity. Kelley is recognized as one of the top stress reduction experts in the country and has alliances with top physicians in New York City. Major media including ABC News, Huffington Post and Wallet Pop, call upon her to lend her expertise. She is a co-author of Women on Fire and was a keynote speaker at the Working Mother Media Work Life Balance Congress in 2008. Kelley will be a featured speaker/trainer at the Omega Institute April 30 – May 2, 2010.

Kelley graduated from Boston College and holds professional certifications in:

  • Classical Pilates

Kelley lives in New York City with her husband Andrew and their two cats, Vindaloo and Lola.  She is extremely grateful to her mentor, Gurunam, without whom none of this would be possible.

 

Taunya Black - Special Consultant: Education & Pre/Post Natal

Taunya is a mother and former teacher, who currently runs an arts-based enrichment program for children aged 2-12. She is certified in NAAM Yoga Therapy, Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, and Harmonyum Healing System. Taunya is also a student of Universal Kabbalah, as taught by Gurunam aka Joseph Michael Levry, with whom she works closely, writing and editing. She acts as a consultant/instructor for organizations seeking to implement enrichment and stress reduction programs that support women, families and children. In addition, Taunya works with individually with clients from various backgrounds. Taunya has experienced the power of Divine Spiritual Wisdom to effect lasting, transformational self-healing, both personally and professionally. She believes that widespread societal and global change can begin by empowering families, and is passionate about bringing this work to women, children, families, and those professionals who work with them.

Sonia Sequeira, PhD - Special Consultant: Neuroscience

Sonia is a neuroscientist specialized in brain cancer research, a science writer and author. At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, in NYC, she is part of an exceptional team that translates scientific discoveries into clinical trials in humans. Sonia is also the founder of the Naam Biomedical Society, a non-profit research institution led by scientists focused on the design and development of innovative clinical trials in integrative, sustainable healthcare. She is also a certified Instructor in Hatha, Kundalini and Naam Yoga, teaching since 1997, and a practitioner of Harmonyum Healing. Having served briefly as Executive Director of Universal Force, Inc., home of Naam Yoga, founded by Master Joseph Michael Levry, she has embarked on yet a new journey at the interface of science and spirituality: she is studying the physiological effects of these ancient practices on a multi-disciplinary project aimed to integrate spiritual and physical therapy with conventional medicine
